Amandeep advises public companies on corporate finance and M&A matters, corporate law, securities regulatory compliance, continuous disclosure and corporate governance matters. Amandeep has deep transactional experience, as well as complimentary experience in advising on day-to-day securities compliance and disclosure matters.
Amandeep uses his extensive public markets knowledge to advise shareholders on engaging Canadian public companies on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) matters, particularly in relation to shareholder proposals. Amandeep has a specific interest in shareholder proposals related to human rights matters. Shareholders rely on Amandeep to help formulate shareholder proposals, negotiate disclosure and withdrawal terms and in seeking regulatory reform.
Amandeep also advises private enterprises on corporate, commercial and transactional matters.
Whether advising public company boards, activist shareholders or private enterprises, Amandeep aims to provide practical advice that reflects and adapts to the issues businesses and shareholders face in achieving their desired outcomes. Amandeep previously practiced law as a partner at a national Canadian law firm, and from 2003 to 2004 he was a foreign associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York.
